Do you work with/coordinate with the venue I select?

Yes. One of the first things we do is contact the venue where your wedding reception will be and give them all our communication information. We also introduce ourselves to your caterer and photographer. Our goal is to maintain an open communication stream to assure your special day goes smoothly at each step.


How do I use your concierge service? 

Once you've agreed to the terms and have signed the contract with Fancies Mobile DJs, you will be sent a user name and password via email that allows you access to the online concierge system located at fanciesmobiledjs.com.   We are available for any questions you might have while using the service.

Is a deposit required to guarantee a booking and is it refundable? 

Yes, 50% of the agreed upon service fee is required to guarantee your wedding date booking. This deposit is not refundable unless we are unable to perform your event. In the two decades that we have been doing weddings, this has never happened.

Are you licensed? Insured? 

Yes, we are licensed and insured in the state of North Carolina and the city of Asheville.

How much input do I have in the music selection?

You have as much or as little input into the selection of music as you want. With over twenty years in radio, here at Fancies we pride ourselves on our music knowledge, and we are pleased to make recommendations and build playlists for you. But this is your wedding and we want you to have the music that you love. We know that each wedding is unique and has its own signature. Based on a priority list of must-have songs that you provide for us our mixologists will build a perfect soundtrack for your event You can also give us a list of songs you do not want included in your playlist - not every song is for everyone.

Other than weddings, what other kinds of events do you host?

We host a variety of events including corporate functions, charity events, walk/run races and marathons, concerts and clubs. We're available for any activity that needs a host, DJ, and music!

Can I hire you if I'm also hiring a band? 

Yes. We offer a package where we can provide recorded music for your ceremony and the dinner portion of the reception. Included in this package is the hosting of the special events like the shoe game, longest married dance etc and all the recorded music during band breaks.

Do you eat/drink at the Wedding Reception/ Events?

We love Wedding cake, but we also know it's not our party. Therefore we only eat if the wedding party or event coordinator invite us.  We make sure to be discreet, and it never interferes with our primary goal an amazing Reception. Finally, it is against our company policy to have any alcohol. We need to be top of our game while letting you enjoy a fantastic party!
